First Pledges of the Online Campaign!
Welcome to the new website! Since launching this online platform and beginning to share the project more widely just a week ago, we have been receiving many wonderful messages of support. We’ve also received the first two pledges from this stage of the campaign—one supporter in Iowa has pledged $1,000, and another supporter in Michigan has pledged $40,000. These join an initial donor pledge of $500,000 over the project’s first five years.
The Michigan supporter shared these words:
“This project stirs my heart. It will have my support. I’m ready to pledge $40,000. For several years I’ve had a fund that’s been waiting for a purpose. I sincerely hope this Bailey Center idea can be brought to life. It seems important work.”
This kind of support from individual donors is critical. As we continue to pursue leads on the large gifts that will ultimately make this project go, these pledges not only get us closer to our goal, but also showcase to others the breadth and dedication of support among the communities invested in the Bailey Center’s success. The momentum itself testifies to the need for this project.
Please consider helping us spread the word by sharing the link to this website with whomever you know who needs to know about The Liberty Hyde Bailey Center Project. And if you can help us with a pledge of your own, please get in touch.
